Golden Retriever Hembra

Origin and History

It is appropriate to call the Golden Retriever "the golden treasure at the end of the rainbow." As an ideal dog for all occasions and as a hunting dog, the Golden offers something for every person or every trend.
The Golden Retriever is a hunting retriever dog. This breed emerged around 1850, in Great Britain. It happened that, during hunts, the nobles lost many prey in swampy areas that the dogs they used could not reach. The Golden Retriever, as capable in water as on land, was the solution.

Behavioral Characteristics
Today, the Golden Retriever is one of the most popular dog breeds in the world.

They are animals full of energy, very loyal, affectionate and kind: the family dog par excellence. Golden retrievers are also very versatile dogs, which easily adapt to all types of contexts and lifestyles, as long as they have enough entertainment.

Among the many qualities of the Golden Retriever, intelligence undoubtedly stands out: it is one of the most intelligent dog breeds that exist, which implies that they have a good level of obedience and training skills.

Today, Golden Retrievers are just good retrievers and family pets; They are also popular as support dogs for the blind and disabled, and as search, rescue, and contraband apprehension dogs. Few dogs can boast such versatility.

Very sociable with other animals or strangers, the Golden Retriever is not a guard dog. Little ferocious, he is capable of throwing a party to the first stranger he meets! Naturally obedient, friendly and confident, he represents an excellent option for those who want to adopt their first dog. But it is still advisable to plan training sessions from when they are puppies, with a lot of tenderness!
